# Blogs

Blogging is a great way to [improve your Search Engine Optimization (SEO)](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/promoting-marketing/seo), build your audience, and generate more traffic and sales for your business. Setting up a blog can help you build a community around your products and your brand.

**Steps:**

1. In the theme editor (**Customize**), open the template selector.
2. Select **Blogs**, then **Default blog.**
3. On the left-sidebar, select **Blog**
4. Make necessary changes > **Save.**&#x20;

* **Show featured image**
* **Show date**
* **Show author**
* **Show excerpt**
* **Show category**
* **Show read more**
* **Enable white button**
